Marquetry consists of inlaying different types of wood together, piece by piece. Playing off of natural and dyed colors, and the patterns in the grain of the wood. This process results in various decorative motifs (vegetative, geometric, pictorial scenes...)
The object of this technique is to embellish everyday wooden objects found around us, giving them a richness that they did not possess before.

The bucksaw is the essential tool used in this process.
